Hong Kong - 1997
Travel: We took Cathay Pacific Airline and had a very long layover in Hong Kong (Chek Lap Kok Island) en route to India (the scariest landing in Hong Kong, you think you are going to land in the water for sure - thanks to the skilled pilots who are experts). Things to Do: so I decided to leave the airport because of the very long layover and took a taxi downtown, a 25 min. drive with our daughter; was able to see the Star Ferry Pier and the Market; Other things to do is Luk Y Teahouse, Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade, Museum of History and the Night Market. I embarked on having fun shopping in Hong Kong mainly en route to India. We were able to walk through a few parks, lots of food around the market areas, and watch the people do Thai Chi in the park. Got a taste of the vibe in Hong Kong!
